The Covid Shift

Beginning in 2020, Purcell and Rodriguez forged a vertically integrated research team, consisting of

high school, undergraduate, and graduate students and cross-disciplinary scholars, to examine the

impact of COVID-19 on women and mothers. 

Now in its third year, the study resulted in multiple peer-reviewed publications, research presentations, and workshops detailing the impact of the pandemic on women and their careers and how organizations can best respond. The conceptual framework for the study is presented in "The Covid Shift: Working women's punctuated equilibrium" (Purcell et al., 2022) published in the Leadership and Organization Development Journal.
